I believe my personal mission is to live a life that depends on God. I am a theist that believes deeply in my personal calling to serve the God who not only created me, but actively seeks a relationship with me. I believe a life with God is the best solution for living in this troubled world. My mission is to share my experience, strength, and hope with those around me.
My favourite Bible verse is Romans 8:28. When I was growing up, it was my mother's favourite verse as well. It has always reminded me that no matter what happens to me on this earth, God has got my back. He has a big plan for me here and even bigger plans for me in His kingdom.
I was born in the the United States but have lived abroad for well over ½ my life. I love to travel and I have enjoyed a variety of overseas experiences including teaching, church work and ADRA work in Mexico, Canada, Senegal, East Timor and Laos.
My university experience includes an Associates of Science degree in Accounting, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with minors in Social Studies and French, and a Master of Arts degree in Learning Technologies.
I currently teach Bible, French, and Art in Canada. Some of my professional interests include exploring educational technologies, discovering foreign language teaching methods, and experimenting with art media.
I deeply believe that modern education is enhanced by the use of technology. Ever since I began my educational career, I have always made an effort to integrate technology whenever possible.
I absolutely love all things creative! I cycle through many favourite personal creative interests. Some of my past favourites were cake decorating, macro photography, web and graphic design, crochet, macramé, mosaics, scrapbooking, and beading. Some of my current favourites are watercolours, acrylics, clay, and doodling.
